Aftercare Teachers
Buntyn Preschool- Memphis TN
Buntyn Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable and energetic Aftercare teacher to work with our toddlers and preschoolers during our afternoon aftercare program.
Schedule Monday - Friday- 2:30pm-5:30 pm- 15 hours per week, with some opportunities for extra hours as needed.
Pay rate: $19.75-20.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
- Supervise toddlers or preschool-aged children during afternoon activities and play.
- Assist with age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, snacks, and routines.
- Maintain a positive and caring relationship with children and families.
- Follow all Buntyn Preschool policies and Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing requirements.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework in early childhood education is desirable.
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check and meet applicable Tennessee DHS requirements.
- Must successfully complete a required physical examination.
- Must have the ability to life and carry up to 40 pounds
- Experience working with children in a group setting is required.
- Must be dependable, patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoy working with children.
